Judging methodology

Weighted, independent, transparent

Each eligible nomination is scored by independent judges against published, weighted criteria. Administrators can configure criteria and weights per category. The main categories are professionally judged and never depend entirely on public voting.

Frequently asked questions

Who can be nominated?

Registered African businesses, public-sector institutions, NGOs, startups and individual leaders with a demonstrable transformation journey. Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are welcome.

How do I nominate?

Choose a category, complete the online nomination form with your transformation story and supporting evidence, then submit before the nomination deadline. You will receive a unique reference number.

Is there a nomination fee?

Some categories carry a nomination fee to cover verification and administration; others are free. Each category page lists its fee. Complimentary nominations are available in special circumstances.

How are winners chosen?

An independent judging panel scores each eligible nomination against published, weighted criteria. The main categories are professionally judged; selected categories also include a public-voting component.
